The Session x Magic Lab
Scroll down to directly take part in a short survey and participate in our study on magicians' assumptions.
You can also subscribe to be alerted when we have new experiments and need answers and/or help from magicians, to advance the science of magic.
SURVEYS
Here are 2 surveys made for magicians.
You can participate to all of them in the order that you wish.
Focus Group on Exposing Methods
Sucker tricks. False solutions. Handing out gimmicks. As performers we can incorporate many actions into our routines that are more or less suggestive of our methods. A central aim of this workshop is to bring magicians together to think about how to perform skilfully in the face of concerns about what counts as appropriate in-performance exposures. It will take the form of a small moderated group discussion led by Prof. Brian Rappert (University of Exeter). Let’s share our thoughts and experiences.
If you want to participate, please sign up for one of the discussion slots here: Focus Group Doodle Calendar
Alice and Gustav are releasing a brand new book on the Psychology of Magic!
Some copies will be available at The Session but if you don't get the chance to grab one of them, you will be able to order it on Vanishing Inc. website.
